Nye v. Hamm: A Lazy Follow Up
Last night saw the epic showdown...
"The Thrilla' just outside of Cincinnati..."
Between Bill Nye "The Science Guy" and Ken Hamm "The Creationist Man."
Evolution vs. Creationism
And, your Blog is chomping at the bit to comment on it.
Except for one problem.
The PC hasn't watched it yet.
And, since it is 11:00 PM and, after a blissful five day weekend, The Blog has to get up for work tomorrow...
It's not going to happen tonight.
But, if you have two and a half hours to kill, Mr. Hamm's "Answers in Genesis" has generously, (and from what I have seen of the "debate,") bravely, shared the video on the YouTube™.
So, you can watch it here.
When your PC does get to it, he will make a drinking game out of it.
Because that is what your PC does.
I promise to take a generous swallow of moderately priced scotch every time Mr. Hamm asks Mr. Nye, "Were you there?"
And, when it ends, (and it probably won't end well, for The Blog...)
I will wash out my glass with the trunk of a wooly mammoth, who will mumble, "It's a living." when I'm done.
In the meantime, I'm going to send you over to Buzzfeed, where buzzfeeder Matt Stopera gave 22 self-identified creationists the opportunity to parade their mind numbing ignorance, while tossing around sciencey sounding words like...
"thermodynamics..."
and "noetics..."
and "theory..."
... as if they understand what those words mean.
Thanks to Matt for doing the heavy lifting, tonight.
