R.I.P. Progressive Talk

January 2, 2014.

Progressive talk radio in Los Angeles is, officially, dead.

                                                            No more Stephanie Miller.

                                                                   No more Bill Press.

                                                              No more Randi Rhodes.

No more "Progressive Talk."

No more, "Your Voice."

Today, Los Angeles' progressive, AM radio, KTLK became the home of "Real American Values" conservative talk.

"The Patriot."

Pardon me while I throw up in my mouth, a little bit.

The new home of Sean Hannity, Glen Beck and the god of right-wing bloviation,

                                                                     Rush Limbaugh.

Not because Los Angeles didn't have radio access to those far right-wing voices...

Rush has long enjoyed a spot on KTLK's sister station, Clear Channel owned KFI.

Hannity had a spot on KABC's station.

Glen Beck could be heard on some L.A. adjacent stations, and via the internet.

So, it isn't about giving L.A. unheard, right-wing voices more exposure.

It was about silencing the small AM voice of the Progressives.

Conservative KFI has been hemorrhaging major sponsors.

And, aside from a couple of automobile companies, KTLK has had, mostly sponsors that, mostly, sell snake-oil bullshit.

Stephanie Miller and Randi Rhodes listeners are just not stupid enough to buy "Ovation Cell Formula" hair crap and shit like that.

El Rushbo's listeners are that stupid.

And that's what it is really all about.

Selling stupid shit to stupid people.

As of today, you can go to RandiRhodes.com and access her "I <3 Radio" channel.

In the next week or so, Stephanie Miller can be found at StephanieMilller.com or FreeSpeech.org.

The Blog will keep searching for access to these liberal broadcasts, for you.

I will keep you updated.
